WWE SmackDown 5 Predictions: Samoa Joe Will Go On A Path Of Destruction
3: What’s Next for the Day of New?
The New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers were actually having a really good match this last Sunday. Something that isn’t surprising to hear about the New Day, and shouldn’t be surprising to hear about Harper and Rowan, but their SmackDown Live Tag Team Title reign has been lackluster, to say the least.
But, the New Day pushed them to their limit and looked to be closing in on becoming five-time tag team champions in WWE. So close, in fact, that Rowan had to hit Woods and Big E, who was representing the trio, with Bludgeon Brothers, trademarked hammers to end the match and retain their gold.
But where does the DQ finish leave New Day and their quest for gold?
One would assume that they will get another opportunity at Hell in a Cell. Preferably in the marquee match itself. The brutality we could see in that match would rival no other match we’ve seen in a long time. Plus, New Day proved to the world that they know how to work a match like this with their instant classic last year against The Usos.
And going off their SummerSlam match these two teams finally seem like they could have found the chemistry that was missing from their previous matches. Which is promising to say the least.
