The Bar Promo

Sheamus and Cesaro say that they want to face the winner of tonight’s SmackDown Tag Team Championships match between The New Day and The Bludgeon Brothers. They are interrupted by Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, who have probably just earned a match with The Bar soon.

Naomi vs. Peyton Royce

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay decide to play a guessing game. Kay calls Naomi overrated, loud, and obnoxious. Some guessing game, huh? These two are absolutely annoying, and, well, I love them for it! Naomi wasn’t amused, of course, so Royce is in some big trouble now.

Kay gives Royce a healthy dose of help against Naomi, allowing Royce to dominate the babyface in the early going. But whenever Naomi is in a match, you always get the sense that she’s poised for a comeback at any given moment.

Naomi gets back into the match with some huge kicks, flying high and striking hard to take the advantage over her slower and less experienced competition.

But Royce surprises Naomi by slamming her head-first into the ring post, nailing her Fisherman’s suplex for the win.

And just like that, the IIconics score a critical W, which was a long time coming.

Grade: C, A decent match. It was great to see Naomi out there, and the IIconics were due for a victory over an important babyface.

The New Day Promo

Kofi Kingston is excited to be in Brooklyn, reminding Big E that this is the city where they started their record-breaking run as tag team champions. Xavier Woods is confident they will defeat The Bludgeon Brothers tonight to become five-time champions.
