AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa Joe For The WWE Championship Inside The Cell

This is such a hard match to predict, because it could easily go either way. Samoa Joe has been an absolute menace for over a year and is one of WWE’s most talented wrestlers and talkers. If anyone has earned their first title victory, it’s the Samoan Submission Machine. “OHHHH WENDYYY”…”DADDY’S ALREADY GONE NIGHT NIGHT” are just two recent examples of how Joe can scare the hell out of anyone when he talks.

But AJ Styles has been a great champion since his emotional title win over Jinder Mahal last November in Manchester, England, and there’s a belief that he could hold the title for over a year, especially since he’s the WWE2K19 cover guy.

At the end of the day, I have to go with Styles, given the personal nature of this feud. But I also wonder how long this feud will last, and if The Miz could blatantly cheat to end Styles’s brilliant reign, soaking up all the heat for an eventual WWE Championship match loss to long-time rival Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35.

I’m getting ahead of myself, though. Let’s stick to Hell in a Cell, because this match between Joe and Styles should be the best match on the card. It has to occur inside the cell, it has to be brutal, and it has to tie up all the in-ring story-telling at SummerSlam and on-screen story-telling over the past several weeks. There’s no doubt that Joe vs. Styles has a chance to be one of WWE’s all-time great feuds.

Prediction: AJ Styles
