WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 Match Card Predictions Version 1.0

Bobby Lashley vs. Elias

It seemed like Bobby Lashley would face Elias at SummerSlam, because Lashley just kept interrupting him during his concerts. Honestly, it didn’t make much sense, because here was Lashley, who defeated Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules and was seemingly in the Universal Title hunt just weeks ago, picking a fight with a guy promoting his latest album.

Elias and Lashley are two exceptionally talented performers in different ways, so this match wouldn’t be bad by any means. But it’s hard to get excited about this potential bout, simply because I’m not sure what these two would be fighting over.

Still, I’m tentatively predicting this match for Hell in a Cell as filler, since it’s a means of getting two of Raw’s most important superstars on the Pay Per View. Elias has improved every month, impressing fans at Money in the Bank with his close loss to Seth Rollins in a match for the Intercontinental Championship.

Meanwhile, Lashley has far more momentum than he did during his doomed feud with Sami Zayn, though he still has some hurdles to climb in terms of truly winning the WWE Universe over. I’m not sure what this feud would achieve, but I’m guessing WWE will continue to build towards it after scrapping it before SummerSlam.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley
