WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2 Early Match Card Predictions

Undisputed ERA (Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong) (c) vs. War Raiders- NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Based on the last couple of weeks on NXT TV and what happened following Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong’s successful title defense in Brooklyn, a title match between them and War Raiders seems inevitable. It’s a matter of when rather than if.

Depending on whether or not Cole gets called up, I could see the Undisputed ERA participating in their second consecutive WarGames match, so the creative team could easily give Hanson and Rowe a title shot between now and then. However, that could leave a considerable hole in the undercard.

Whether these four enter WarGames or they have a traditional tag team match, they will deliver a hard-hitting, competitive championship bout. War Raiders are among the best tag teams in the world — go back and watch their NJPW and ROH stuff for proof — and Strong and O’Reilly have meshed nicely in the scant few months they’ve teamed with one another. Their opposing in-ring styles (War Raiders’ brawling vs. UE’s technical skill) and their personalities (no-nonsense Viking warriors vs. snarky d-bag jocks) should make for a fun feud.

No matter which direction this budding rivalry goes, it will no doubt be entertaining.
