WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2 Early Match Card Predictions

Kairi Sane (c) vs. Bianca Belair- NXT Women’s Championship Match

Bianca Belair is awesome. She’s arguably the best athlete in the company, she cuts great promos, and she’s slowly putting it together in the ring. While she’s still green in the ring, Belair has benefitted from working with some of the best female wrestlers in the world and she hasn’t looked in over her head.

I think that Triple H and company will remunerate Belair for her meteoric progress with a women’s title match against one of the best workers in the world in Kairi Sane, who is fresh off of a thrilling championship victory over Shayna Baszler.

Character-wise, these two are tailor-made to feud with one another. Belair’s brashness, arrogance, and perceived superiority over her peers make her the perfect foil for the skilled, scrappy, affable “Pirate Princess”. Match-wise, Sane will bump around for Belair’s power-based offense and use her tremendous selling and her connection with the crowd two keep the fans engaged during Belair’s heat segment.

Like the projected tag title match, this is another one that I could see happening on an episode of NXT rather than TakeOver. After all, the creative team has a couple months worth of TV time to fill and Sane has to face someone for the title within that span. Hopefully, the creative team saves this match for TakeOver: WarGames and get a chance to show what they can do on a larger stage.
