Daniel Bryan vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas
I loved Daniel Bryan’s dropkick to Andrade “Cien” Almas to stop the “Tranquilo” pose, but it doesn’t take long for Almas to gain the advantage. He uses his strength and brutal offense to get the better of Bryan, including a nasty submission move and a ridiculous chop!
Almas and Bryan traded chops, which was awesome! When the two started trading strikes, Bryan sent Almas FLYING over the top rope in an amazing/scary/breath-taking moment that had the crowd going crazy.
Bryan followed that up with his trademark knee off the apron, as he rolled Almas back into the ring to the sound of “YES!” chants.
During the break, Bryan started hitting Almas with the “YES!” kicks, but Almas countered the last one. He tied up Bryan in the ropes, doing his best to damage Bryan’s arm so that he can’t lock in the “YES!” Lock later.
Bryan caught up to Almas on the top rope before hitting a NASTY suplex. Just then, when Bryan hit a big move, who else came out but The Miz? You had to know this was going to happen!
Miz distracted Bryan, but Bryan wasn’t fooled. He escaped Almas’s grasp before hitting Miz with a suicide dive and laying in some big punches on the A-Lister.
Bryan HAD Almas beat after blocking a moonsault and putting him in the “YES!” Lock for days. Vega went on the apron to distract Bryan, but even after Brie Bella stopped her, the ref didn’t turn around. Worse yet, Maryse smashed Brie on the ring post. The Miz snuck up on Bryan from behind to cause a disqualification, allowing Almas to hit the Hammerlock DDT on Bryan after the match.
On top of that, Miz put Bryan in the YES! Lock as Maryse forced Brie to watch. The duo then hit their finishers on Bryan and Brie, somehow making this rivalry feel even more incredible.
Grade: AMAZING, Go out of your way to watch this! It’s impossibly good! Everything from the match to the post-match antics from the heels is brilliant! These two are shooting for feud of the decade!
