SD Live Tag Team Championship: The New Day vs Rusev Day

Smackdown can’t go wrong with any of the four remaining options to challenge for the tag titles. The Usos had one of WWE’s best ever tag team matches against the champs at Hell in a Cell a year ago, so I don’t think anyone would complain about seeing that again. The Bar recently returned to television with some good momentum. And SAnitY has been feuding with The New Day over the past few months and needs a big win before they become completely irrelevant.

However, Rusev Day seems like the best option to me. The trio of Rusev, Aiden, and Lana have just gotten back on the same page, and it would be a shame for things to fall apart again so soon. On top of that, the act is still white hot, and leaving them off of a PPV would be a big waste of their popularity.

Raw Women’s Championship: Ronda Rousey vs Natalya vs Alexa Bliss

Hopefully we’ll get a swerve on the way to September 16th to avoid another straight up Rousey vs Bliss championship bout. Their match at Summerslam was fine, I just don’t care to see it again.

Adding Natalya to the mix would add an extra dimension that could greatly improve the match’s quality. The outcome would be significantly more unpredictable, and it would be a ton of fun to see Natty and Ronda mix it up in the squared circle.

Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton (Hell in a Cell)

On paper, a Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton program in 2018 doesn’t sound very exciting at all. Nevertheless, thanks in large part to Orton’s genuinely sadistic heel work, the build has been fantastic and fans are buzzing.

I was a bit disappointed when this became the PPV’s second confirmed Hell in a Cell match, since it probably means Becky vs Charlotte won’t get the stipulation, but I can’t complain too much. It certainly fits the feud and I’m sure crazy Jeff and evil Randy will thrive in the brutal environment.
