3. Daniel Bryan vs. Andrade Cien Almas
The feud between Daniel Bryan and The Miz is arguably the top feud in the WWE right now with eight years of history to build on. The feud will reach another level at Hell In A Cell when Bryan teams with his wife Brie Bella to battle Miz and his wife Maryse in mixed tag team action.
Bryan and Brie felt like addressing that match last night when Bryan came out to the ring alongside his wife. He continued to talk down to The Miz and call him a coward, but soon enough, Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega interrupted and approached Bryan and Brie. One thing led to another and a dream match of sorts was made immediately between Bryan and Almas.
As expected, these two pulled out all the stops and, in fact, probably pulled out more stops than a match of that duration called for. It was an exceptional show of pro wrestling by both men for almost the entire match, but nobody was surprised to see that given the talent both men possess. However, the match would get hijacked, so to speak, by Miz and Mrs.
The A-Lister wound up getting involved and attacked Bryan to cause a disqualification finish. Almas got in one final shot on Bryan, but Miz wasn’t finished with him and Maryse made sure Brie felt her wrath as well. Despite a non-finish, Bryan vs. Almas was a great match that we need to see again sometime down the road, but in a much longer duration. The Bryan vs. Miz feud did benefit from last night, however.
Two of the most talented performers in the world really shined last night in a match that did more than a sub-10-minute match with a disqualification finish should do on paper.
