A Fresh Face Wins the Battle Royale

As part of All In: Zero Hour, the pre-show to this indie mega-event, Cody and the Bucks have booked a fifteen-wrestler battle royale to decide the number-one contender to the Ring of Honor World Championship.

Later on in the show, the winner of said battle royale will face champion Jay Lethal for the ROH Title. While many have predicted Jimmy Jacobs, Colt Cabana, or another familiar face or Chicago native to take home the win, ROH may surprise us and have a new, fresh face come out victorious.

Whether “All Ego” Ethan Page, Marko Stunt, or even Jordynne Grace to set up an inter gender match, it seems more and more likely that the opening battle royale could have a couple surprises up its sleeves. While it might not pull the match of the night out of its hat, it could very well make for a great ROH World Championship matchup later in the night.

Jay Lethal is world-class among independent wrestlers, and putting him with nearly anyone is a guaranteed great match. Whether or not Lethal actually drops the belt is a different story, but he could elevate a new, young face into ROH and the indies’ top ranks.
