The past few months there has been endless speculation on when Mysterio will officially be back with WWE. Well where there is smoke, there is usually fire. It is only a matter of time before Rey Mysterio is signed. We have seen the legendary luchador in both the Royal Rumble and Greatest Royal Rumble. For a veteran superstar who has had multiple knee surgeries, Rey look revitalized.
There is not a masked wrestler who has captured the hearts of the audience like Mysterio. All due respect to Kalisto, but he could not do it. Creative tried with Sin Cara and he did not connect. Gran Metalik is super talented but not quite over with the fans. Rey Mysterio is something special. This is a talent who is so loved he literally could not be heel (nor should he be). Nobody wants to root against him. Plus he is the best high-flying cruiserweight of all time.
The master of 619 paved the way for smaller wrestlers around the world. He is the reason why wrestlers that are 170 pounds can become world champion. His presence alone would make 205 Live better. More importantly he will be there to guide young talent and put them over. Rey Mysterio never hesitates to help his opponent look good.
