Hell In A Cell 2018: Ranking WWE’s Top 5 Rivalries Heading Into PPV
Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair
Few feuds have engaged the WWE Universe as much as this rivalry, because while WWE tried to turn Becky Lynch heel, the crowd simply refuses to boo the beloved Lass Kicker. Meanwhile, WWE’s decision to turn Becky led to Charlotte Flair being on the end of a some boos, which has made for an interesting dynamic.
It’s unclear if WWE is set to change the direction of this storyline to make Becky more of an antihero, but that does seem like both the likely and logical decision here. Becky is too popular to be a heel right now, and she is so talented that she could be a great antihero character.
But no matter what WWE chooses to do with both characters, Becky and Charlotte are so good inside and outside the ring that they will surely deliver at Hell in a Cell. I may be getting ahead of myself, because this match has not been officially announced, but this match seems like a guarantee at this point.
The animosity between both characters is definitely there, the reasons for a fight are well-established, and Becky is absolutely gunning for that title. We know Charlotte is willing to defend it, too. After having lost to Becky in both of their recent one-on-one meetings, Charlotte is likely dying to prove that she can defeat Lynch.
I am truly excited for this match, and it is amazing to see how fired up the WWE Universe is for this rivalry. Becky has become a bigger star as a result of this program, as her actions at SummerSlam sparked a fire in the crowd.
