Cody Rhodes, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson were the masterminds behind All In 2018, which proved to be a rousing success. So much so, in fact, that The Rock sent out a congratulatory message to Cody on Twitter, as “The American Nightmare” captured the historic NWA Worlds Title in moving fashion.

There can be no doubt that Cody Rhodes is one of the most influential wrestlers in the world. The recognition and adulation has been pouring in for well over a year now, and all of the progress he’s made culminated in a sweet NWA Worlds Title victory over Nick Aldis at All In 2018 that was praised by The Rock.

Now, The Rock is just one of many people within wrestling who has sent a congratulatory message to one of the wrestlers involved in All In. But since he’s such an accomplished wrestler and entertainer, his words are worth their weight in gold (not quite ten pounds of gold, but, well, you get the point).

In his congratulatory message on Twitter, The Rock stated that Cody is now a part of the important legacy of that title. A legacy that, of course, includes Dusty Rhodes, and Rock was sure to acknowledge that aspect of Cody’s emotional title win.

I still get chills every time I see a photo like that one above, in which Cody is holding the NWA Worlds Title after defeating Aldis with a finish reminiscent of The British Bulldog’s historic SummerSlam 1992 victor over Bret Hart. While Bulldog’s victory was for the Intercontinental Championship – a belt that Cody’s legacy is certainly a part of – Cody’s title win was for a title with an even richer history.

All In 2018 was a huge success, based on the reactions it received online and on social media. So many members of the live audience walked away knowing that they witnessed something special, and Cody’s title win over Aldis was a major part of that historic night.

It’s great to see The Rock giving Cody a shoutout like this, and the significance of this simple message hasn’t been lost on wrestling fans. I can’t wait to see how Cody, The Bucks, and everyone else involved with the show builds on the success of All In. It truly seems like even bigger things are on the way.
