3. Advanced Search
Currently on the WWE Network search results will give you a list of marquee events, episodes of various WWE programming, or the aforementioned milestones – which is limited to matches and match finishes.
This is all well and good but WWE and its library is so much more than that: milestones should be about WWE Moments too. A lot of these moments come in the form of memorable in-ring promos, backstage vignettes and slick video packages. Finding the classic vocal work and visual skits of Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Ted Dibiase, Randy Savage and Jake Roberts to those of The Rock, Degeneration-X, Edge & Christian or CM Punk should be just as easy and convenient as finding their matches.
I can type ‘Hard Times’ into WWE Network’s search bar and be fortunate enough to get the famous Dusty Rhodes promo I’m looking for. However if I type in ‘Pipebomb’, ‘Mark Henry Retirement’, ’21 and 1′, or ‘With A Tear In My Eye’, I either don’t get what I’m looking for – or I don’t get anything at all. And that’s just sad.
These are the moments that often stick in the mind more than the matches or events that were built around them. Making these moments searchable and filtering them into their own categories just makes sense.
