Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella Open The Show

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella are in the ring to open the show, as they are being interviewed by Renee Young. Bryan jokes that the whole crowd was chanting his name before Young showed footage of last week’s beatdown at the hands of Miz, Maryse, Andrade “Cien” Almas, and Zelina Vega.

A clip is played of Miz and Maryse standing in the middle of an empty arena, asking Bryan and Brie to come out. They knew full well that those two weren’t there or available to fight, but they dropped their mics in the clip anyway.

Bryan’s response to the clip? “That’s perfect! It’s perfect! That’s a perfect encapsulation of how Miz and Maryse are as people!”

As for Brie, she doesn’t want to wait until Hell in a Cell. She wants to get a piece of Miz and Maryse tonight on SmackDown Live. The chances of that happening? Zero. Absolutely zero. Those two will do anything to avoid a fight.

In fact, Young clarifies that Miz and Maryse are no longer in the building.

But guess who is? Andrade “Cien” Almas. El Idolo’s music hits…

As expected, he wants to finish what he started and beat the hell out of Bryan again.

You see, unlike Miz, Almas doesn’t need to attack people from behind to make a statement. He does his talking in the ring, which is why Bryan must respect El Idolo, even as he refers to Miz as a coward.

Rating: GOOD, A solid segment to get some more heat on Miz and Maryse, put Bryan and Brie on the screen, and segue into another interesting encounter/match with Almas and Vega.
