Samoa Joe Puts Styles to Sleep to Win the WWE Championshp

Ever since the tail-end of this summer, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe have been going to war with each other. Despite their DQ finish at SummerSlam, their title match made a huge impact in establishing both men as top stars on not only Smackdown, but the entire company. Now that their feud has reached personal depths we never would have imagined, they hope to settle things in another title match this Sunday, and to tell the truth, chances aren’t looking good in the champ’s favor.

But surely, this couldn’t possibly mean that Styles is due to lose his championship, is he? His reign clocks in at just under a year and recently passed John Bradshaw Layfield’s record as the longest reigning World Champion in Smackdown history. Not to mention, Styles happens to be the cover boy of the upcoming WWE 2K19, and that accolade doesn’t sound as glamorous without Styles as WWE Champion.

Up until now, his reign at the top has never been hotter, so why cut the legs out from under him now? Well, in the same breath, Samoa Joe has never been hotter in WWE. His run on the main roster has seen just as many pitfalls for the Samoan Submission Machine as he’s seen successes, if not more. It’s not hard to imagine WWE finally pulling the trigger on the guy, which means that The House That AJ Styles Built could be seeing some tribal renovations in the near future.
