Josh Matthews interviews Johnny Impact via satellite, as Johnny is resting at home after the ambush by Austin Aries, Moose, and Killer Kross. Johnny doesn’t look too banged-up over the video, but says he gets more and more frustrated with injuries. He’s “damaged”, but says he’ll be ready for Bound For Glory.

Johnny says he can’t ignore the threat of the extra Moose and Kross, calling them “goons”, and asserts Aries is insecure because Aries can’t take Johnny one-on-one.

The Fraternity vs. LAX

I don’t know what The Fraternity is either, so I’m assuming this will be a blow-out by LAX. Just a reminder, LAX vs. OGz is set for the Impact Tag Team Championship match at Bound for Glory.

Ortiz attacked Channing Decker (holy wow, what a name) with a flip-flop, so that’s the tone we’re setting early.

The Fraternity seem pretty legitimate though; there’s a lot of tandem action to keep Ortiz and Santana down for about half the time. Channing Decker FLIES off the top rope to nail Ortiz on the ramp. Ortiz and Santana still get the pinfall. Konnan comes out the ring for the celebration, but King and the OGz aren’t far behind.

King tries to instigate a fight amidst the “cease-fire”, but LAX isn’t biting. This should make for an absolute blood-bath at Bound For Glory, what with all this pent up aggression. King says his only regret lately is that Richie (you know, that kid they hit with a car) is still alive.

Grade: B-

The Fraternity was a pleasant surprise! They seem like a reincarnation of The Spirit Squad, so maybe we’ll see more of them. The King promo was typically aggravating, but the way this is all building up will ultimately aid the hype around their Bound For Glory match.
