CHAOS (Will Ospreay & The Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta) vs. Bullet Club Elite (Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi, & Kota Ibushi)

Yujiro was the victim of some team work from the Best Friends and Ospreay right away, but Takahashi was able to turn it around. Kevin Kelly pointed out how amusing it was that Ibushi was teaming with Owens and Takahashi, who cheat in matches, and how Ibushi never cheats. Ospreay and Ibushi found themselves in the ring, and you can hear the buzz from the crowd when that happened.

This is a match we all want to see someday. Ospreay took it to Ibushi with some fast paced offence, but Ibushi dodged a double knee attack in the corner and hit Ospreay with a powerslam and a middle rope moonsault. Ibushi and Ospreay moved lightning quick, ending with Ibushi hitting a massive clothesline. Ibushi managed to tag out to Owens, who took it right to Ospreay with a neckbreaker.

Ospreay managed to tag in Beretta, who hit an enziguri and started his offence against Owens. Beretta went for the Dude Buster, but Owens fought it off. Ibushi came in and hit some great double team offence with Owens. Chase Owens is one of the underrated fixtures on the lower card who consistently has good matches. Owens went for the Package Piledriver, but Taylor superkicked him.

Ospreay came in and took out Ibushi with a Sasuke Special to the outside of the ring. Taylor and Beretta hit a version of Strong Zero on Owens and scored the pinfall.

Result: CHAOS

Rating: ***1/4 (3.25 stars out of 5)

Ospreay and Ibushi had a face-off, and it’s clear that we’re going to get this match at some point, and I’m very excited. This was going to be quite the match, and you know that NJPW will be eager to deliver it at the right time.
