Bullet Club Firing Squad (Taiji Ishimori & Guerillas of Destiny (Tanga Loa & Tama Tonga) (c) vs. Taguchi Japan (Ryusuke Taguchi, David Finlay, & Juice Robinson) – NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship

Taguchi Japan came out with a rugby ball, adding to the question of what kind of team they actually are. So far, they have been a baseball, football (soccer), and now rugby team. I love how they keep adding to Taguchi’s comedy act like this, and it’s quite fun. Taguchi and Ishimori start the match, and Ishimori moves around the ring smoothly, as neither man can get the better of the other.

Robinson and Loa tagged in, and Juice took it to him with an armdrag and a dropkick. Finlay and Juice use some double team offence before Juice hit two corner lariats on Loa, and then a big cannonball. Taguchi put on his rugby helmet, and Finlay grabbed Taguchi in a headlock and both men ran into Ishimori, in quite the double team. They tried it on Loa, but it didn’t work. Loa slammed Juice on the mat outside the ring, and they started to get the heat on Robinson.

Robinson made the tag to Taguchi, who was still wearing his helmet, and they were unable to hurt because of his helmet, which is hilarious. Finlay was tagged in, and Taguchi started to direct traffic like a good coach. They were only able to get a 2 count, however. Juice and Taguchi missed a pair of stereo dives before all three members of the Firing Squad were able to trile team Finlay. Juice and Taguchi got back in.

Tama Tonga ripped Taguchi’s helmet off, which presented a problem in Taguchi’s strategy. Tonga hit a Gun Stun, Finlay hit him with a stunner, and Loa and Finlay then exchanged finisher attempts before Loa was able to hit ApeS***(the inverted piledriver) for the pinfall victory.

Result: Bullet Club Firing Squad

Rating: ***1/4 (3.25 stars out of 5)

This was all sorts of fun with good comedy spots, and some really fun wrestling. Great effort from all six men.
