Periods 6 & 7

Dreamer utilizes a kendo stick, trash can, stop sign and cheeseburger to innovate violence as he and Hennigan run roughshod over the threesome while Kotto recovers. Havoc winds up busted open after a trash can shot from Dreamer giving us the one thing in a War Games match that we’ll probably never get in any of WWE’s/NXT’s versions of the match. Just as Dreamer and Kotto begin working together (in the name of Dr. King!) to punish Havoc, Leon Scott enters to shift the balance once more.

Scott doesn’t come alone – to add to the bevy of weapons already in the ring, he carries the baseball bat Callihan has used so notably as of late leading up to this match. After being helped to his feet by Scott, Callihan buries the head of the bat into Dreamer’s stomach before going low with a swing at the stop sign sitting on Dreamer’s groin.

Callihan and The Death Machines thrive here as Havoc struggles to regain his composure as blood pours down his face. With Havoc readying Brazil to go through a table set up in the corner with a Death Valley Driver, Barrington Hughes makes his way to the ring.

Period 8

Hughes, the near-500 pounder, struggles to enter the ring as it is tight quarters for the largest man on either team. Hughes immediately grabs the kendo stick and steps toe-to-toe with Leon Scott. Hughes peppers Scott’s body with blows with the weapon before the two begin trading blows in the center of the ring. After a slight miscommunication, Scott hits the ropes and gets flattened by a Hughes body block.

Havoc is next in line to try to take Hughes down, but “The Caramel Colossus” shakes off his attack before leveling him with a big clothesline. Callihan finally finds a way to weaken Hughes with a shot with the stop sign, but Fulton is unable to capitalize due to Barrington’s sheer size. Dreamer lends a hand to his teammate to take Fulton down as Brazil and Hughes lay into Fulton and Havoc in one of the rings.

At a moment where things seem to be slowing down for Team Strickland, the music of the final man to enter the match begins to play and The Match Beyond begins!
