1. Becky Lynch Championship Coronation
For two straight years, the WWE universe wondered why Becky Lynch had not won a championship or why she was rarely in the championship discussion in the first place. However, the past several weeks have seen The Irish Lass Kicker get back to a championship level at the expense of her former best friend, Charlotte Flair.
Lynch turned heel on Charlotte at SummerSlam after Charlotte won the SmackDown Women’s Championship and had her sights set on dethroning The Queen at Hell In A Cell. And after a very good match, Lynch defeated Charlotte and became the SmackDown Women’s Champion for the first time since 2016.
Last night was all about Lynch’s championship coronation where she could claim her superiority over Charlotte. Lynch called her out and Charlotte tried taking the high road as she did at Hell In A Cell, but The Irish Lass Kicker wanted no part of it. The back and forth promo between the two was excellent and things really heated up when Lynch said she wanted Charlotte to call her The Queen.
After a subtle verbal jab that started with a B, Charlotte snapped and went after Lynch. It wouldn’t end so well for The Queen when Lynch got the upper hand and locked Charlotte in the dis-arm-her before standing tall with championship gold in hand to close out the show. This feud is great and this moment in the feud was great as well.
The rematch will take place soon enough, but the work these two have already done is high-quality, to say the least.
