The former SAnitY member is way past due for a call up and what better way to introduce the unhinged Cross than to have her immediately come for Becky’s shiny new crown?

Becky is aggressive for sure, yes, but Cross presents a new element to the Irish Lass Kicker that she hasn’t encountered in a long time: unpredictability. Nikki is one of the few wrestlers where it feels like you can genuinely say you don’t know what she’s going to do next either in the ring or out of it. Even in regulation matches, she brings an air of confusion and uncertainty that makes it even more exciting. If she’s willing to dare Shayna Baszler to choke her out, is she going to start begging Becky to break her arm? If it was no DQ, Becky will certainly find herself in one chaotic mess of a fight.

If Becky wants to establish herself as an aggressive champion who wasn’t just lucky in beating Flair, being able to get ahead of the unpredictable Cross will go a long way. For Nikki Cross to establish herself as a threat to be reckoned with, outlasting the Smackdown Women’s Champion will go even longer.
