WWE finally had their first PPV in Australia. As for all PPVs, some matches and victories are evidently more important than others. The following power rankings for the superstars who participated in Super ShowDown should shed some light on who stood out the most.
From #10 to #1, the WWE superstars shall be ranked on this show based on their performance, shock value, and storylines.
On Raw’s side of the show, none of the titles were on the line since the champions were involved in 6-superstar tag matches. On the men’s side, Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins were in a victorious 6-men tag match with Dean Ambrose against Braun Strowman and Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, On the women’s side, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey was in a victorious 6-women tag match with the Bellas against Riott Squad.
On SmackDown’s side of the show, all of the titles were on the line, except for Shinsuke Nakamura’s U.S. Title. WWE Champion AJ Styles, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day all successfully retained their titles against Samoa Joe, Charlotte Flair, and The Bar respectively.
On 205 Live’s side of the show, there was indeed a new cruiserweight champion who goes by the name of Buddy Murphy. He was not the only Australian with a victory, for the IIconics also earned their biggest tag victory on the main roster.
This show also focused on nostalgic moments with a huge John Cena return as well as a last-time-ever main event match up between Triple H and The Undertaker who were accompanied by Shawn Michaels and Kane respectively.
