MLW Is Growing – Does It Need A Women’s Division Next?
Hyan comes by way of Houston, Texas where she trained under at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling school. In the roughly 4 years that Hyan has competed for ROW and other indies, she has cultivated a list of high-profile names against whom she has competed – Kylie Rae, Jordynne Grace and Santana Garrett just to name a few. Hyan’s highest-profile match in the mainstream came against Nia Jax on an episode of WWE Raw in the summer of 2016 which went exactly how you would have expected it to go.
In February of 2018, Hyan stepped into her own by capturing the ROW Diamonds Division Championship with a win over Kylie Rae. Prior to lacing up the boots as a competitor, Hyan worked as the valet of Fallah Bahh who has seen action in MLW and Impact as of late.
As a technician in the ring, Hyan could hold her own with any other woman on this list. She can ground high-flyers and work larger, more powerful adversaries to the ground with laser-targeting of their limbs. Hyan looks to bring that skill set and the knowledge imparted on her at WWE Hall of Famer Booker T’s school to SHIMMER when she returns to compete for them at the end of October.
With an appearance on RAW, appearances in one of the pioneer promotions of women’s wrestling in the US in SHIMMER and the ROW Diamonds Division Championship around her waist, the potential to be a cornerstone of women’s wrestling in a growing company like MLW would be another impressive addition to her resume.
