Austin Aries vs. Johnny Impact Predictions: Impact wins

It’s time for your main event, and here with the most overly and improperly hyped match on social media, we have Austin Aries vs. Johnny Impact for the Impact World Championship.

If you’ve logged onto twitter in the passed, I don’t know, eight or so days, you’d have seen Austin Aries running his mouth on twitter with all kinds of things about what I’ll call “progressive” sensitivities, and while I don’t think it’s a creative factor in this match, I have a feeling it has gone unchecked because it’s necessary to elevate Impact to that top-babyface level.

Impact knows it needed a strong babyface to go over their top heel in the company, and I think Aries has pretty much laid the groundwork for Impact looking like a real hero in this match, which I do believe Impact will capitalize on.

Wild Card: The only strong feeling I have about this match is that it may be time for a few internal turns for Aries Crew. I’ve speculated that Killer Kross was most definitely using Aries to get closer to the championship before, and I think that even having Moose admit he’d only pretended to be on Aries’ side to get back at him for the Slammiversary loss would help alleviate the confusion surrounding his initial turn.
