Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory Recap: The Good Face of Impact
Impact Wrestling aired its annual Bound For Glory pay-per-view last night on the FITE network, which included a big title change, a big title retention, and one Brian Cage-sized shock.
Last night at Bound or Glory Impact Wrestling proved that even though the stories got a little wonky, they still have some of the best performers in the game under their belt, and we got another electrifying performance from the Impact roster last night. Here’s a spoiler, if you read any of my predictions for last night, I was almost spot on (humble brag).

Swann and Mack def. Sydal and Page
Rich Swann and his impromptu partner Willie Mack pulled a victory of Matt Sydal and Ethan Page last night after Swann hit a beautiful Phoenix Splash off the top rope on Sydal. The match was yet another example of the high-flying, quick, and dynamic style that is really becoming a signature of Impact, especially of the X Division. My personal favorite highlight had to be Mack doing a headstand and scissor-kicking on the top rope to taunt Sydal.

Tessa Blanchard def. Taya Valkyrie
Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard got the better of her last-minute challenger last night. I must say though, Tessa and Taya are two of the most evenly matched performers on the Impact roster and work so, so well together. I actually hope this feud is built upon more in the months to come because Taya, even in defeat, is still the only Knockout anywhere near title contention. Not to mention again, these woman work wonderfully together, and to see them in action when there’s more history involved would be a treat.
