6. The Usos vs The Wyatt Family – Battleground 2014
During their feud in 2014 over the latter’s WWE Tag Team Championships, Erick Rowan & Luke Harper of The Wyatt Family, and The Usos proved to have some fantastic chemistry together. They previously wrestled in the opening match of Money in the Bank 2014, and in some SmackDown and Raw television matches in between that time.
Their match at Battleground the following month – which also effectively put a lid on their feud – was their best match to date, and arguably the best match that WWE had to offer all year. If nothing else, the match had to have been the best tag team match of that year.
Battleground 2014 is remembered not so fondly as one stinker of a pay-per-view event. Luckily, the one bright spot on the entire night was the Two Out of Three Falls Tag Team Title Match that started off the show.
It is amazing to think that in terms of wrestling characters and movesets, these teams could not be further apart from each other, and yet, whenever they tangled up in the ring together, they displayed perfect chemistry with each other as if they were born to wrestle each other. This match being the perfect example of that chemistry.
