WWE SmackDown Live: SmackDown 1000 Results, Review, and Analysis
The champ is here, and AJ Styles is out to usher us all in to the house he built himself. Immediately following is the Yes Man himself, Daniel Bryan, AJ’s challenger at Crown Jewel, as the two prepare for tag team action against The Usos. Usos, by the way, have the best pump-up theme in WWE.
Daniel and Jey start out, until Jimmy is tagged in and begins laying in heavy chops to Daniel in the corner. Daniel counters with kicks and tags in the champ. AJ and Jey are throwing punches like it’s a brawl, until Styles gets tossed into the turnbuckle. A charge from Jey results in AJ wrapping him up in a Calf Crusher, and Jimmy charges the ring to be stopped by Bryan, who wraps Jimmy into the yes lock.
Jimmy reaches the ropes to break the hold, and while both Usos regroup outside the ring, Bryan and Styles pump up the crowd with what looked like a Yes chant behind the commercials.
Now that I can focus and the commercials are done, Bryan is heavy on offense. Here come the Yes Kicks, and Bryan nearly gets the pin on Jey when Jimmy breaks it up. There’s an accidental altercation (I am totally surprised) between Style and Bryan, and the Usos capitalize on the miscommunication to set up for a pin and a win.
