4. Not Enough Building Going On For The Evolution Card

History will be made in under two weeks when the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view Evolution takes place.  This will be a banner night for the women’s evolution that has been taking the WWE by storm, but there’s still something missing from this show in the weeks leading up to it.

The WWE has been building towards a couple of key matches in recent weeks, such as Trish Stratus and Lita vs. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James along with Ronda Rousey vs. Nikki Bella.  These matches should be memorable, but last night was a night that told fans the rest of the card isn’t getting the same level of respect.

There was an announced battle royal last night for Evolution with the winner going on to earn a women’s championship opportunity during a tag team match pitting the returning Tamina and Dana Brooke against Nia Jax and Ember Moon.  The idea of a battle royal is good, but there isn’t enough focus being put on the rest of the card at Evolution.

A battle royal kind of feels like throwing talent a bone because the WWE doesn’t have anything planned for them.  Outside of the couple of marquee matches previously mentioned, most casual fans couldn’t name another match on the Evolution card.  The WWE has to start doing a better job of hyping up the rest of this card and putting other matches on a similar level.

Evolution should be a great night for women’s wrestling, but there are more than two matches on the card contrary to popular WWE belief up to this point.
