Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair Steal The Show From Edge

There’s a case to be made that Becky Lynch is the most “over” wrestler in WWE, because no matter how hard the company tries to paint her as someone who is “in the wrong”, she just gets cheered more and more. The more the fans think WWE is resisting what’s organically there, the more vociferously they show their support for Becky.

On “The Cutting Edge”, Becky threw Edge’s advice back in his face, even insulting him over his legitimate, career-ending neck injury. And it got her cheered.

Edge tried to convince Becky to “play nice” again and painted her a picture of a lonely life without any friends, but Becky simply shrugged him off and insulted him in the most verbally painful way possible. And the WWE Universe elected to cheer her over Edge, who is one of the most beloved legends in wrestling history.

That’s how popular Becky is, and the hype for her “Last Woman Standing” match against Charlotte Flair (which should absolutely main event Evolution…forget about that Ronda Rousey noise) only increased during this segment.

Per usual, Charlotte had heard enough of Becky, and she came out to kick Becky’s ass right then and there on WWE SmackDown 1000. The two had another pull-apart brawl, except security and backstage officials struggled to keep Charlotte away from Becky. Flair was out for blood, and we can only imagine what these two will do to each other in a Last Woman Standing match.
