Volador Jr & Soberano Jr vs Jyushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask

Soberano and Tiger Mask start things off. They lock up and fight for position. Soberano grounds things, but Tiger fights back. They wrestle to a stalemate and tag in their partners. Volador runs the ropes and sends Liger to the outside. Tiger to the rescue but Soberano sends him out too. Beautiful tope/moonsault combo from the luchadors.

Back in the ring, Volador and Soberano trade tags and work over Liger’s legs. Eventually, Tiger comes in to break things up. Volador spits on him and things are getting heated. The CMLL guys continue to work on Liger, but he fights back and makes the tag.

Tiger Mask takes it to Soberano, but Volador helps out his partner. They hit some double team offense and set up for the doomsday crossbody, but Tiger is able to reverse it. Liger takes out Volador as Tiger Mask hits the crucifix bomb for a great near fall. Tombstone, Liger bomb, Tiger driver and Volador barely makes the save. Liger immediately takes him out again as the Tiger suplex connects for the finish.

Liger/Tiger def Volador/Soberano

I loved this. Volador got some good offense in, and Tiger and Liger turned in an awesome babyface performance, but Soberano really stole the show. He took a ton of punishment down the stretch and operated in the sweet spot between selling and valiantly fighting back. The near falls leading to the finish were great and created a ton of drama. This really couldn’t have been much better for its spot on the card.
