Ryusuke Taguchi & ACH vs Taiji Ishimori & Robbie Eagles

Taguchi and Eagles start the match. Taguchi tries to get fancy and works himself into a hold. Rope break and Eagles lays in some strikes. Taguchi backs into his corner and calls for a timeout. Tags to ACH and Ishimori. ACH sends the Bone Soldier to the outside and goes for a flying crossbody, but Ishimori plants him on his knee and starts the beatdown at ringside.

Back in the ring, the Bullet Club team tags back and forth and ACH is in trouble. He fights hard though, and gets the tag to Taguchi who runs wild with his funky weapon. Three amigos on Eagles for a near fall, but the springboard hip attack and Bummer Ye miss. Eagles lands a sliding elbow, and both guys tag out.

The former partners trade forearms and run the ropes. Double stomp from ACH. He goes for a deadlift german, but Ishimori fights out and they trade heavy chops. Taiji runs the ropes again and goes for a handspring back elbow, but ACH catches him in midair with a bridging german.

The splash attempt comes up empty and Ishimori capitalizes with a sliding german. Brutal tag team offense from Bullet Club but Taguchi makes the save. Eagles takes him out and Ishimori ends it with the tombstone gutbuster and bloody cross.

Taguchi/ACH def Ishimori/Eagles

Although this lacked drama down the stretch, it was still a solid match. ACH and Ishimori had some great, intense exchanges throughout, really playing well off of their history, while Taguchi and Eagles mostly played the background. I feel the Sniper of the Skies needs to do a bit more to properly introduce himself to NJPW fans, but he still has plenty of time to show what he’s made of, so no worries.
