2. Dean Ambrose Pulls Off The Most Shocking Heel Turn In A Long Time

Last night’s Raw was one of the most shocking and emotional shows in a long time in the WWE.  Just when you think it can’t get any more shocking than what the show started out with, things got even more shocking with a storyline development.

Roman Reigns’ announcement to kick off last night’s show was out of nowhere and caught the entire WWE universe by surprise.  The emotional fallout from the announcement was endless in support of Reigns, including his Shield brothers Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.  They said they would honor The Big Dog by going out and winning the Raw Tag Team Championship.

In the main event, Rollins and Ambrose battled Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre for the tag team titles in a match that changed the entire complexion of the red brand.  The match quality itself was very high with some awesome in-ring action going on.  Once the match got to its finishing stages, however, chaos broke loose when Braun Strowman came out to go after McIntyre.

With the referee knocked out, Strowman brawled with McIntyre through the crowd, allowing Rollins and Ambrose to get the win and capture the tag team titles.  It seemed like the night was over, but Ambrose shockingly hit Rollins with a Dirty Deeds.  He followed it up with a beat down nobody saw coming on a night like last night.  To call it shocking would be an understatement, as was evident with the faces of the crowd.

Pulling off a heel turn that genuinely affects people is next to impossible in today’s landscape of the WWE, but The Lunatic Fringe’s heel turn last night was one of the most shocking turns in a long time.
