1. Roman Reigns Stuns Everyone With Career-Changing Announcement

It’s easy to forget sometimes that the superstars you cheer or boo in the WWE are also real people too outside of their on-screen characters.  They have real problems that the common person has to face and sometimes, those problems affect their professional career.

There is no better example of this than last night when Roman Reigns kicked off the show to give an announcement that would change the WWE.  It started out as business as usual with fans just assuming he was out there to give a normal wrestling promo and nothing more.  However, the whole atmosphere changed very quickly.

Reigns said that his real name is Joe and he has been battling Leukemia for 11 years, and unfortunately, it’s back.  The entire feel of the segment changed from that point with Reigns eventually saying he has to relinquish the Universal Championship so he can go home and beat Leukemia again.  Shock and awe came across the WWE universe and this segment alone has changed the WWE.

The Big Dog left his title in the ring and as he left the ring amidst respect from the live crowd in attendance, he was embraced by a noticeably emotional Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.  Nobody saw this coming and it has shaken the WWE to its very core with an outpouring of well-wishes from everyone involved with the WWE.

In a business that often times separates non-fiction and fiction, the heart and emotion shown from The Big Dog will never be forgotten and here’s to hoping for his speedy return to the WWE after he beats Leukemia once again.
