The Usos vs. WWE Champion AJ Styles and the number-one contender Daniel Bryan is up next, and it’s bound to be riddled with mistakes on account of Bryan and Styles and their miscommunications.

Turns out, Styles and Bryan are pretty much on the same page tonight; they’re doing tandem dives out of the ring and everything.

Bryan of course takes most of the beating inside the ring once we get back from commercial, and Styles is fired up after he’s tagged in. Styles nears gets a submission out of Jey with a Calf Crusher, but it’s broken up by Jimmy.

Just like clockwork, Styles accidentally kicks Bryan in the head. Classic face-on-face, “we don’t know how else to book this” mishap mentality. The Usos are able to take advantage of the situation and get the pin again.

I hate this story. You can’t convince me that Bryan and Styles aren’t of sound mind enough to know these are mistakes. I can never manage to suspend my disbelief enough for things like that. I would so much rather they book these too to respect and understand each other, and just fight. It makes way more sense.

Also, shouldn’t this technically kind of mean Jimmy Uso is in line for a championship opportunity? Wishful thinking.
