WWE SmackDown Live: Results, Review, and Analysis for October 23rd

Rey Mysterio is here to be the honorary guest on Miz TV. Rey Mysterio’s theme is one of my favorites and my current bop, thank you for asking. The crowd is certainly happy to have him back.
Is Miz? Probably not. Miz wants to know why Rey’s back after all this time, because of course, the audience is way more interested in the New Hotness like him instead of the old-timers like Rey.
Miz has another wonderful “I’m way too overlooked” promo, which he nails. Rey announces he thought he was supposed to be on Truth TV. There’s no dance break however, which is a total shame.
Can we make Rey Mysterio calling things “dusty” a thing on SmackDown?
Miz attacks Rey, which is exactly what I hoped would happen, and we’ll have ourselves a real match when we get back from commercial. Naturally, when we return, there’s a lot Rey flying out of the ring between the ropes.
Miz really dodges a 619 and turns it into a Skull Crushing Finale, which Rey kicks out of. I was convinced that was going to be the finish of this match, and honestly I wouldn’t have been that upset at all.
Miz attempts to go for a Skull Crushing Finale from the top turnbuckle, which, imagine? Rey hits another 619, and that’s the game. Rey is 2-0 in his return.
