Naomi approaches the ring with Asuka in tow for her “first time ever” (very important to note this) match with Mandy Rose. Turns out, the IIconics, Lana, and Carmella, all have something to say about it as well.

This turns out to be pretty much a dead ringer for what the Battle Royal will turn out looking like on Sunday, just a big ole’ mish-mosh of the women WWE didn’t have the energy to book in a real match.

Although, I have to say watching Asuka lurk up behind Zelina Vega got me PUMPED UP for the NXT Era to really be highlighting this Battle Royale. Think about every favorite you’ve seen for that match. Nia Jax? Ember Moon? Asuka? Maybe Carmella? Yep, NXT is definitely ready to represent.

MEANWHILE, Mr. Commissioner Shane McMahon is back for the second week in a row! He’s still here trying to convince us there’s a “World” Cup.

Either way, he wants to make sure that the winner at Crown Jewel comes from the SmackDown brand. Thus, we have a match between two of those contenders next, Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton.

It’s the usual stuff from these too; it wasn’t exactly anything spectacular enough for this to have been the obvious choice for the main event.

That is until Randy Orton goes after Jeff’s ear again and then slams him in the the announce table! It’s cool for sure, but hey, that was like a month ago, man. Where has it been? Jeff Hardy also flips right onto the groud. Yikes.

Randy wins on an RKO. Like I said, totally fine match, but nothing worthy of a main event, especially one a storyline level.
