4. Rusev vs. Aiden English

The duo of Rusev and Aiden English was as enjoyable as any entity in the WWE throughout the run of Rusev Day.  However, their on-screen relationship has disintegrated over the past few weeks since English turned on Rusev and insinuated an affair with Lana at the same time.

The ‘One Night In Milwaukee’ presentation wound up being a farce, however, with English’s true intentions of messing with Rusev through Lana being shown.  English cost Rusev a shot at the World Cup last week when his actions allowed The Miz to get the win instead, but last night The Bulgarian Brute was out for revenge.

Rusev went one-on-one with English last night in a match that turned out to be more of a squash match than anything else.  It was more of an appropriate squash match given how Rusev wanted revenge on English, but it still felt like it should have been more.  After more mind games by English, the tide turned and Rusev was able to take control.

Making English tap out was a fitting way to end the match and Rusev got the win.  This felt like the end of this feud and the announcers treated it as such, but if this was the end of the feud, it deserved a better match.  It was a fitting squash match, but it probably should have been more than a squash match.

There wasn’t much to it, but Rusev squashing English felt right even if fans wished it would have been more.

Final Grade: C
