Asuka wins the Battle Royale

Firstly, I would like to point out that I absolutely, in every way think that WWE would be obvious enough to put their favorite to win a Battle Royal match front and center of the promotional graphic.

Aside from that, the winner of this match is obviously going on to challenge the champion of their respective brand, so the question of ‘who’s going to win’ really becomes ‘which championship picture is in need of a bigger revamp’.

To me, that answer is the Charlotte and Becky feud. After their Last Women Standing match tonight, that feuds going to fall a little stagnant, especially if Becky Lynch wins (which, spoiler alert, I think she will).

The Charlotte and Becky feud really has been hot, but it’s going to need a break if WWE doesn’t want it to get too stale.

That’s why Asuka is the perfect person to win this Battle Royal, because she’s the top babyface on SmackDown Live right now, and thus she’s the perfect person to feud with Becky Lynch right now. She’s a babyface would could actually get a real babyface crowd reaction.

She’s honestly the only real option in my mind that you could actually see winning the championship, instead of just being a filler-feud for Ronda Rousey on the Raw side or being a filler-feud for Becky Lynch while she waits for Charlotte to strike again.
