Shayna Baszler def. Kairi Sane for the NXT Women’s Championship

Let’s get this out of the way first – I don’t think Shayna Baszler should have ever lost her championship to Kairi Sane at NXT Takeover Brooklyn IV in the first place.

I understand that Shayna’s main-roster call-up was supposed to be imminent, but since she wasn’t called up literally right after her loss to Sane at Takeover, it just didn’t make that much sense.

Shayna was entirely too formidable and too over as the top heel in NXT to have to sit and lay in wait to win that title back the way she did.

How likely is it that Shayna gets her call-up after Evolution? I’m not sure, but the fact remains – if you’re not planning on bringing Shayna to the main roster immediately, you need to put the NXT Women’s Championship back on her.

I have a feeling that by the end of this match tonight, we’re really going to demand that WWE and NXT give Shayna this championship. Lest we forget the promo Shayna made backstage after her Takeover loss – you know, the one where she said she “lost” to Sane, and Sane didn’t “beat” her.

You better believe that Shayna comes out tonight better than ever and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure she wins her title back, and you better believe she’s going to be too good to deny.
