3. Everything Is Set Up For Long-Awaited Braun Strowman Universal Championship Coronation

It feels like fans have been calling for Braun Strowman to capture the Universal Championship for well over a year now.  It started to look like he might never get it done, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it might finally be time for a monstrous coronation.

Roman Reigns relinquishing the Universal Championship due to his battle with Leukemia shocked the WWE universe to its very core.  It was set to be a Triple Threat Match at Crown Jewel for the title, but with Reigns now out of the picture, the match is down to a one-on-one showdown for the title pitting Strowman against Brock Lesnar.

Last night gave fans a brief encounter between The Monster Among Men and The Beast Incarnate.  Lesnar and Paul Heyman did their thing to open up the show, but Strowman wanted a piece of the action and he approached his Crown Jewel opponent.  Acting GM Baron Corbin made the mistake of putting his hand on Strowman while trying to hold him back from Lesnar, and that wouldn’t turn out well.

The Monster Among Men hit Corbin with several running powerslams, but the final running powerslam was all Lesnar needed to catch Strowman from behind and hit him with an F5.  This will be a big match at Crown Jewel that will guarantee a new champion, but it’s time for Strowman to finally break through the glass ceiling.  Everything is perfectly aligned for Strowman to win the title and take the reigns as the top babyface on Monday nights.

Strowman wants to give Lesnar these hands, but giving him these hands might be enough to win his first-ever world title in the WWE.
