WWE SmackDown Grades: Joe Renews Rivalry With The Phenomenal One

3. Big E vs. Cesaro

This time of the year is all about ghosts and goblins with Halloween season in full swing.  The WWE celebrated Halloween to an extent last night in the form of a match that seemed perfectly fitting for a colorful trio of entertaining superstars.

The SmackDown Tag Team Championship will be on the line at Crown Jewel when The Bar defends against The New Day, but last night was all about one-upping the opposing side when Big E took on Cesaro in a Trick or Street Fight.  As expected, this match would turn out wildly entertaining.

It wouldn’t stay one-on-one for very long, but there were collisions with pumpkins, bobbing for apples, and the whole nine yards involving Halloween.  The New Day’s entrance was the highlight of the entire segment as the three impersonated The Brood with music and costumes alike.  That Brood influence would pay dividends in the end for Big E.

After spitting blood in the face of Cesaro, Big E managed to get the win to gain key momentum heading into Crown Jewel.  This was an entertaining match that was fun to watch, even if it was a bit chaotic from time to time.  The New Day will certainly be out to regain the tag team titles on Friday with this win likely helping out the cause.

The Brood made a return last night in the form of The New Day, and it was enjoyable to see this Trick or Street Fight take shape.
