2. The Miz

It’s not impossible that when you first saw a mention of Miz in this article (so, five seconds ago), you had a specific though that isn’t exactly off base – The Miz and EC3 may actually be too similar of characters to work well together in a feud.

You’re not entirely wrong; both have a certain braggadocios swagger and a materialistic aura to them. I mean, you’d kind of have to if you call yourself “The A Lister” or “The Top One Percent of NXT, wouldn’t you?

It could be too similar to work, but there are few details that, if WWE really chose to focus on them, could set these performers apart enough to create a feud with a very important lesson for audience.

If once he debuts, WWE decides to promote EC3 as more of a “self-made man”, maybe even playing up the longer journey EC3’s had to take to finally get a degree of success with WWE, that could end up really putting him over in a feud with the Miz, who would play the roll of the more privileged sort of heel.

If you can’t see The Miz sitting with EC3 in a ring during a Miz TV segment, playing old skits from EC3’s stint as Derrick Bateman, and that doesn’t simultaneously make you laugh and piss you off, then I don’t know what to tell you.
