4. Nia Jax Doesn’t Need To Be A Heel

The year 2018 has been a kind one to Nia Jax, who has had her best year in the WWE to date as a top talent on the Raw roster.  She won the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34 and eventually tangled with Ronda Rousey, but the one constant in those moments was her character.

The Irresistible Force was a prime example of overcoming bullying, and she did a fantastic job of doing so.  However, last night was a turning point in the career of Jax when she went one-on-one with her friend Ember Moon for the second straight week.  The match was business as usual for Jax, but after she finally put Moon away for the win, everything changed.

Tamina came out to the ring and approached Jax like she has been doing in recent weeks since her return.  It looked like these two powerhouses were going to go at it, however, the only punishment they would be inflicting would be on the defeated War Goddess laying under their feet in the middle of the ring.

Jax and Tamina beat down Moon and showed they are aligned together now.  It was a bit of a surprising twist given how great of a babyface Jax has been.  While she has been a heel in the past, it doesn’t feel like this heel turn was needed for The Irresistible Force.  She will be the next challenger for Rousey’s title soon enough, but it didn’t have to turn her heel.

Maybe this partnership with Tamina will pay off, but it seems like a bit of a rush to turn Jax heel after a banner year as a babyface.
