2. The Authors Of Pain’s Raw Tag Team Championship Win Was Much-Needed

The Raw Tag Team Championship picture has been as inconsistent in recent memory as any championship scene has been in a long time.  It’s almost like the WWE gave up on those titles, but last night gave fans a new look that was desperately needed.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose won the Raw Tag Team Championship a couple of weeks ago, but Ambrose turned on Rollins after the match, leaving the tag team title picture in limbo.  Rollins basically served as the sole holder of the tag team championship, but that all changed last night when he decided to call out acting GM Baron Corbin, among others.

The Architect had a few choice words for several people last night, but his words towards Corbin led to Corbin making a Raw Tag Team Championship match with Rollins defending against The Authors Of Pain.  It seemed inevitable that new champions would be crowned, but Rollins fought his hardest to somehow keep the titles.

However, the numbers game proved to be insurmountable and AOP got the win and have finally captured the Raw Tag Team Championship.  It was a long time coming, but it seems like the tag team title picture on Monday nights might have stability in its future.  AOP has waited its turn to taste tag team gold and it’s finally come.

If tag team wrestling matters anymore on Monday nights, last night was a huge night in finally bringing back some stability.
