Debuts and Returns
Fightland will feature the debuts of several and the return of one as more eyes in the independent wrestling world focus on Major League Wrestling.
The biggest new name coming to MLW is easily Rush, one of the founding fathers of Los Ingobernables, who will battle Sammy Guevara who is back for his second show with the promotion after a return at Fury Road in a loss to Hijo de LA Park. Guevara is coming off of a dissolved relationship with Salina de la Renta and, as expected, a bit of mentorship from Konnan, who seems more than ready to pick at the scraps of Promociones Dorado.
In what is easily the biggest size mismatch on the card, super heavyweight Ace Romero and “Mr. Fun Size” Marko Stunt will square off. Stunt has been making a name for himself coming off a star-making performance at Joey Janela’s Lost In New York this past summer, and Romero may send him all the way back to the Big Apple if he connects with his life-threatening Pounce.
Adding to the roster of “Aces”, Ace Austin will look to make his mark on Major League Wrestling in a debut against Myron Reed. Reed signed a deal with MLW in August but has yet to have his breakout moment on an episode of Fusion. Myron will have a lot to contend with as he tangles with the Jersey-born, high-flying striker whose unique style could easily put him on the map tomorrow night.
Fresh off of a match at Black Label Pro with Puma King, MLW has announced that Gringo Loco will make his Major League Wrestling debut Thursday night. While his opponent has not yet been announced, what is known is that Loco will bring even more lucha libre to the national stage via Fightland and MLW Fusion.
Finally, Stokely Hathaway will make his much-anticipated MLW return at Fightland. Hathaway has been away from MLW programming for months after having been kidnapped by a mysterious group of individuals. Thankfully for Hathaway, his would-be captives left the child locks off and he was able to swiftly escape. What, or whom, will Hathaway bring to the table when he makes his return? Will he bring a new face to MLW or will a current member of the roster earn themselves one of the most dynamic mouthpieces in wrestling today?
