4. The Usos vs. The New Day

The best tag team rivalry in modern WWE history took the company by storm last year when the two teams involved tore the house down on several occasions.  That rivalry would be renewed last night in a key battle with Survivor Series implications.

The New Day and The Usos put forth a fantastic series of matches last year for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.  And while the teams have gone their separate ways for the most part since, last night saw them go toe-to-toe again with the winners going on to become the team captains of the Survivor Series elimination tag team match.

As expected, these two teams left another big mark and it resulted in a great match.  The match got a solid amount of time to shine, and it did so with flying colors.  It went back and forth for a while to the point where you couldn’t tell which team would win.  However, Jimmy and Jey turned the tide in their favor at the end and it paid off.

The Usos outlasted The New Day and got the big win, which was followed by a show of respect after the match in which The Usos said The New Day could join the SmackDown Survivor Series tag team match.  It should be interesting to see how this tag team match plays out given how many more legitimate teams the blue brand have compared to the red brand.

When The Usos and The New Day compete against each other, expect something great and that is exactly what happened last night.

Final Grade: A-
