2. Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade Cien Almas

There’s no denying that Rey Mysterio is a future hall of famer after a stunning career over the past two decades-plus.  His return to the WWE has opened the door for several dream matches on the blue brand with one of those dream matches coming last night.

Mysterio has already defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, The Miz, and Randy Orton since returning.  The Master Of The 619 had another major test last night in a superstar that’s right up his alley in Andrade Cien Almas.  This was a match that fans were buzzing about as a possible dream match, and those fans got to see it.

These two world-class performers put on a great battle with a lot of high-flying, up-tempo offense.  As expected, Almas broke out his innovative offense and move sets, but so did Mysterio and it was a real battle from start to finish.  It seemed inevitable that Mysterio would get the win, but it didn’t come easily with Almas pushing him to his limit.

However, Mysterio managed to eventually connect with the 619 and splash down finish to get the win over Almas.  This was a very good match that hopefully, the WWE universe gets to see again.  These two superstars are a lot alike and they bring out the best in each other inside the ring, as evident from last night’s battle.

The Master Of The 619 kept his winning streak going last night in a match that fans were talking about even before he returned.

Final Grade: A-
