4. What are the Survivor Series plans for Randy Orton?

When the team Co-Captains Daniel Bryan and The Miz were picking names for the team, I was expecting the Miz to bring up Randy Orton at some point in time. As we saw by the end of the night, Orton will not factor into the men’s team this year, which is a weird choice considering how much of an established veteran he is at the moment. Moreover, Orton has more experience and success in traditional elimination matches than most superstars out there.

We know that he will continue the ongoing rivalry with Rey Mysterio on Tuesday nights, but what am curious about is, how will the Apex Predator factor into the PPV? Will he continue to target the Ultimate Underdog in the weeks leading up to the PPV, potentially injuring the Master of the 619 and stealing his spot on the team?

Or will Orton wait till the right moment and strike on the night of the PPV, essentially taking Mysterio out of the equation? Could it turn out that he had been doing Stephanie McMahon’s bidding, putting team Blue at a disadvantage?

This would also create one more opportunity for Mysterio to make yet another ultimate comeback storyline and defy the odds once more in his career. There are so many intriguing possibilities. However, I’d have still preferred to have Orton on the team instead of Mysterio. There is a lot of interesting dynamic in there with Orton’s history with Bryan and Shane McMahon. As of now, we will just need to wait and see what the Apex Predator does.
