1. What’s next for Kurt Angle after his heartbreaking loss this week?

Kurt Angle has been more involved in in-ring action lately and has been getting the best of Baron Corbin in recent times. Until this week, that is. The Olympic gold medalist challenged the acting General Manager to a match, and if Angle won he would then become the captain of the men’s Survivor Series team.

Corbin had the last laugh as he changed the match at the last moment, making up excuses on the way. Instead of facing Corbin, Angle was made to face the Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre. Angle had his moments during the match, but safe to say, he took quite the beating from McIntyre. The hard forearm shots he landed on Angle’s back relentlessly were almost uncomfortable to watch.

The story that was being told in the ring was phenomenal. Prior to the match, during a backstage interview, Angle mentioned how the World Cup lit a fire under him. But here he was, in that familiar ring, unable to hang with his stronger and younger opponent. Someone on McIntyre’s level was just too much for the Olympian to handle at this point in his career.

McIntyre taunted Angle and looked for every chance to embarrass him for whatever reasons. An emotional Kurt Angle fought with every ounce of energy left in him even as tears covered his eyes. It was painful to watch. McIntyre finally ended the ordeal but not before putting an exclamation point on Angle’s career; the Scot hit both of his opponent’s signature moves and made Angle tap to the Angle Lock.
